manicure in the comfort of your own home and save money. Indulge and give your hands
the beauty treatment, then show and raise your hands to the world, for all to see.

Before we apply nail enhancement we need to prepare the natural nail making sure it is clean and
free from any excess non living tissue.

Wash your hands prior to treatment using a sanitiser of either lotion or spray

A small amount of good quality cuticle cream should be applied to each cuticle and gently
massaged with the pads of your thumbs. This will lubricate and soften the skin in preparation for
any cuticle work that you may need to perform. Gently push back the cuticle with a hoof stick, an
orange stick tipped with cotton wool or a cuticle pusher. Make sure all metal tools are sterilised
properly before being used.

The nail plate needs to be free of any non living tissue for the product to be able to adhere to it
properly. If your have excessive cuticles you may need to perform a water manicure a few days
before commencing a nail enhancement treatment.

Remove Shine

Remove any excess cream from the nail plate with a lint free pad. Use a high grit buffer and gently
remove the surface shine from the nail plate in the direction of nail growth only. This step ensure
that all trapped surface oil and bacteria are removed. By buffing in the direction of nail growth we
can ensure that no damage is done to the soft tissue in the cuticle area. Remember the matrix is
where all the new cells form and it is the softest part of the nail, so it needs very gentle handling.

Cleanse and dehydrate the nail plate layers

It is very important to temporarily draw out the moisture from the surface of the nail. This gives the
product the opportunity to bond fully, creating a goo seal with the surface of the natural nail whilst
also ensuring that no bacteria will be trapped between the natural nail and the enhancement.
Take a lint free pad or clean brush and apply nail cleanser and dehydrator to the surface of the
natural nail. Pay particular attention to the lateral nail folds, cuticle and under the free edge.

Manicure
Any hang nails may be removed carefully with
nippers. The cuticle should never be cut as this
thickens the skin and can cause scarring. File
the free edge of the natural nail to fit the shape of
the deep stop point in the well of the tip. This will
ensure the proper fit and maximum adhesion of
the tip and will prevent moisture or dirt becoming
trapped between the layers.
